Strong communities depend on the people who keep them safe. My career in youth justice, together with ride-alongs alongside OPP officers, firefighters and paramedics, has given me firsthand insight into the demands placed on our first responders. These experiences shape my commitment to supporting them and making practical investments in safer roads, responsive emergency services and stronger communities.

Residents deserve a local government that listens, responds and is easy to navigate. I approach decisions by asking how they will affect the people I represent - and whether we are delivering the service and respect residents deserve.

As Caledon grows, we must protect our rural communities, our villages and hamlets, our agricultural lands, the natural environment and the unique character that makes people proud to call Caledon home.  Growth must be carefully planned and supported by the roads, schools, parks, recreation facilities and services communities need.  We must get it right the first time while respecting the character and needs of existing communities.

Residents should be able to see, understand and follow the decisions that affect their community. Council must explain its choices through clear information, sound analysis, meaningful public consultation and transparent reasoning.

Caledon’s Greenbelt, headwaters, farmland, forests and wildlife habitat are part of our identity and our future.  I am committed to protecting clean air and water, preserving our natural heritage and ensuring growth does not come at the environment’s expense.

Residents deserve careful budgeting, clear costing and value for every tax dollar. Healthy reserve funds must be maintained to meet future infrastructure needs and unexpected costs - not depleted to artificially lower taxes today or used to celebrate a surplus while long-term obligations go unaddressed.
